IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2004--Comarco (Nasdaq:CMRO) Wireless Test Solutions introduces the first of a family of handheld WiFi Analyzers. It is designed for ease of use and includes a robust set of features for the IT manager, systems engineer or their teams, who need to optimize for performance, security and interference analysis of WiFi networks. As a special limited launch promotion, an extra free lithium-ion polymer battery will be given with the purchase of each Analyzer.

Fi ( fi, WiFi, Wifi, wifi), short for "Wireless Fidelity", is a set of product compatibility standards for wireless local area networks (WLAN) based on the IEEE 802.11 specifications. New standards beyond the 802.11 specifications, such as 802.16(WiMAX), are currently in the works and offer many enhancements, anywhere from longer range to greater transfer speeds.
